Alfreda Eghan

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Managing Director

Alfreda Eghan brings over 30 years of senior business finance and operational leadership experience from global high-technology and manufacturing sectors. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from San José State University (USA) and an Executive Master’s in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance from Saint Mary’s College of California, USA.

She has led corporate and business-unit financial planning, forecasting, and performance management for blue-chip software and manufacturing companies. Mrs. Eghan has supported small business development through SCORE, a partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration, and Stanford SEED, mentoring and coaching entrepreneurs to launch, grow, and scale. She has led youth enterprise development initiatives in her local Rotary Club. Her strong leadership aligns with Ghana’s industrialization and youth employment.

Abu Eghan

President

Mr. Eghan brings over 40 years of engineering expertise in manufacturing and production environments to the company. He holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (Kumasi, Ghana) and a master’s degree in engineering from The Ohio State University (Columbus, USA).

As a seasoned manufacturing and technology executive with more than 30 years of experience leading advanced semiconductor package and assembly development programs for global technology companies producing advanced semiconductor products. Brings internationally benchmarked expertise in precision manufacturing, process governance, quality assurance, and supply-chain management, now applying to the establishment and scaling of Waley & Goma’s manufacturing operations in Ghana.

His leadership background in high-reliability, export-oriented technology manufacturing directly supports national industrialization objectives through the implementation of structured production systems, workforce skills development, technology transfer, and compliance with international standards. With proven capability in new product introduction, process control and monitoring, supplier qualification, and risk management.

Wasula Alahakoon

Director of Technical & Business Development

Mr. Alahakoon, a senior industrial engineering and operations leader with over 25 years of international experience across Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Ghana, and West Africa in apparel and manufacturing. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor, with an MSc in Project Management and an MBA from the UK.

He has managed large apparel manufacturing companies serving large international brands and delivering to international standards. Successfully delivered government and donor-supported industrial development programs, including GIZ-led apparel sector initiatives, workforce training, and productivity improvement aligned with Ghana’s industrialization and export-led growth agenda. Brings strong expertise in factory setup, operational efficiency, and skills development to support sustainable job creation. He leads building the Waley and Goma factory and oversees successful implementation of production by international and certification standards.
